Boldwin Chakatala is a professional multi disciplinary artist, Jeweler and also working as a chef, born in kalomo , Zambia. He completed his secondary school in 2016 at St. Rapheal's secondary school in Livingstone moved to Lusaka in 2018 for a new beginning and joined Visual arts Council (VAC) were I started practicing different types of art such as sculpting,painting and other inventories.My work for the past two years has used revealing aspects of history, which have a profound impact on our contemporary culture today. in the current climate where many believe history has no relevance. I find my self continually returning to those aspects that are often misrepresented in the official for posterity.I have no ground illusions that art will bring a revolution in the traditional sense but have witnessed the powerful changes it can bring in an individual, just one idea can change in an instant by art. But it's slow and insipid spread into the active part of the back to the studio where anything can happen.While I use a variety of materials and processes in each methodology is consistent. I think of my installations as unfinished inventories of fragments objects, sculptures and other inventions. The subject matter of each body of work determines the materials and the forms of work.
