He gave a painting of a bird as an official wedding present to the HRH Prince Charles and Prince Diana and a big landscape was presented to Queen Elizabeth. Ellison was a fellow of the loyal society of Art, a fellow of the British display society and a member of the Society of Industrial Artists and Designers. A grand officer of the Order of Distinguished service by the Zambian government and awarded the MBE by the British Government both for services to the Graphic Art.
