German Ngoma was born in 1953 by then Southern Rhodesia now in Zimbabwe in a small district called Shamua. German grow up playing with clay. His mother was a traditional Potter at the age. The decoration pots and modernizing of small animals, and later small bronze figures. In 1975 German worked with Henry Jackson a fitter Turner in Makeni workshop.  Jackson built more efficient equipment enabling German to work on a more ambitious scale.
