Biography:
Born in 1930 in Zimbabwe. Dube started working at the Beute Lorenz Ceramic studio in 1955 in Harare. In the evening Dube attended stone carving classes at the Canon Patterson’s. Dube had his first Ceramic show at the National Gallery in 1958 which was followed by a stone sculpture exhibition in the subsequent year. He participated in a group show Commonwealth Secretariat in 1962. In 1952 Dube relocated to Zambia. Dube studied sculpture at the Royal Academy of Fine Art in Copenhagen, Denmark. He works with wood stone and ceramics. While he was working for Bente, he taught some Zambian artists to sculpture in stone and wood.
